What is Your Favorite Success
Story?
In July 1999, our account team won new business from a company called InfoImage,
a Lotus Notes integrator. The company, however, wanted to be positioned as
a maker of corporate portal software, which helps employees at big enterprises
find information much easier. Our account team set out to audit both industry
analysts and trade media and begin the process of securing briefings with analysts,
reporters and editors who were unfamiliar with the company and its new corporate
portal software. Several months later, InfoImage and Microsoft announced a
partnership to port the InfoImage platform onto Windows NT. Our account team
executed a successful audio news conference that resulted in more than 50 business
and trade media placements, among them The Wall Street Journal. The following
spring, a review of media coverage and analyst reports revealed that InfoImage
was no longer referred to as a systems integrator but a maker of corporate
portals. In less than a year, InfoImage had transformed itself with the help
of fundamental public relations.
What Are Your Hobbies and Interests?
I enjoy playing and watching baseball. I recently became a full-fledged Chicago
White Sox fan after rooting for both Chicago baseball teams throughout my
life. I also enjoy watching football, basketball and hockey, and have been
a big Chicago sports fan since my childhood. Besides sports, I enjoy listening
to music, playing the drums as well as reading and studying American and
Byzantine histories. I also am a fitness enthusiast.
What is the Title of the Last
Good Book You Read?
Georgetown linguist Deborah Tannen has written a book entitled, "You Just
Don't Understand … Women and Men in Conversation." The book was
a real eye opener for me in the different ways that males and females are raised
to understand the role of language and communications.
Who Are Your Favorite Recording
Artists?
I enjoy listening to all sorts of music. My favorite recording artists, however,
are Chicago, the Doobie Brothers and Frank Sinatra.
Why Are You a Good Fit at Tech
Image?
I'm a good fit at Tech Image because I'm a team player and bring a solid reputation
and strong public relations skills to an already stellar cast. |
